Why are the times and prices different?
Open MRI (Hendon): Best for patients who experience claustrophobia or anxiety. Because of its spacious, open-sided design, the scanner takes slightly longer to capture high-resolution images (typically 45+ mins), which is reflected in the price.
Standard MRI (Leigh on Sea): A traditional enclosed tube scanner. Because of its highly concentrated magnetic field, it can capture extremely detailed images much faster (typically 20 mins) at a lower cost.
